LangChain, the AI-powered agent development platform, has closed a $125 million funding round at a $1.25 billion valuation. The milestone coincides with the company's third anniversary, marking its evolution from an 800-line Python package to a critical infrastructure provider for LLM applications.

Founded by Harrison Chase in 2022, LangChain gained rapid adoption following ChatGPT's launch. Its framework now supports major enterprises including Rippling and Cloudflare. The commercial platform LangSmith addresses persistent challenges in LLM observability and system reliability.
